Grayson's First Birthday!

I can't believe it, my little baby is one! : ( I can tell you it has been a little emotional for me, yes I know I am pathetic. As they say, it just seems like yesterday I was holding him in the hospital.

Last I posted I believe he was just starting to crawl and now he is very much so on the move! I figured he was about 10 1/2 when he actually started crawling. I just love it, everyone told me to be careful what I wished for because once he is moving you will wish he wasn't, but for me I enjoy this age MUCH more. He has such an amazing personality. Soo many facial expression, I wonder some days where he gets them from. He is definitely our little ham.
He now has 3 teeth and the 4th is just about through. He is starting to realize that he can bite with those few teeth...little turkey.

Grayson turned 1 on the 19th. We had to have two parties for Grayson because there was no way I was going to be able to fit both families and all of our friends in my town home. We celebrated with my family and friends on Sat the 19th (his actual birthday) and Brady's family and friends on the 20th. Both parties were a complete success. Grayson got so many wonderful gifts, we have such a wonderful, generous bunch of family and friends. Thank you everyone!
I was lucky enough to have my mom fly home the Tuesday before his birthday and everything wouldn't have been possible had it not been for her...she is the best : )
I did a safari theme, I was very happy with how everything came together. Mindi told me she could tell I was a first time birthday mom because I did the whole decorations/theme thing...haha, I guess so but it was fun!
I will post picture from both days.

Grayson went to his 1 year well check this past Wednesday. He weighed in at 24.4lb and was 32 3/4 inches long. He seems to staying at the 50th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for length. Healthy, growing boy!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas. : )

This year Brady and I hosted Christmas Eve. My mom, dad, grandma, grandma, uncle Kyle, uncle David, Ryan, Heather, Jeff and Sydnee all joined us. It was a really nice night. Christmas morning we went to Brady's parents and in the afternoon we went to my parents.

Grayson seemed to have a fun first Christmas, he did really well throughout all the festivities. He actually ripped some wrapping paper off a couple gifts. However, he was really more interested in playing with all the wrapping and tissue paper. Go figure.

I will post a few pictures from Christmas, there are so many so I will try not to go to crazy. Haha, at least I know I got pictures of his first Christmas.

Grayson has actually had a couple BIG milestones in the past month.
He is now moving. Not completely crawling but darn close. I know now he can get to where he wants, some way or any other he gets there. He can go into crawling position now and will either end up on his belly OR go back to sitting. He mainly scoots around and can go backwards. He's getting there, soon enough he will be fully on the move.
Grayson cut his FIRST tooth. All sorts of firsts these past couple of weeks...first Christmas and first tooth.
You can't see all of the tooth yet. I can see the top of it but it is not all the way through. Once it is, trust me I will have a picture for you. : )

Grayson ended us back at the doctor again last week. We spent the entire Sunday night, after Christmas, up crying and with a fever. My child likes to pick the Holiday's to get sick. Anyway, I brought him to the doctor on Monday. Yup, another ear infection. Fourth one in 6 weeks, let me just say one way to many.
So we are on our fourth antibiotic. We are going to try this one and check him again about a week after the antibiotic is gone. That will put us about 2 days before we leave for Florida, so hopefully he wont' be sick for our trip. If things are not cleared up at that time than we will be talking tubes.
I am hopeful we won't have to do tubes. I have heard cutting teeth can have a lot to do with kids getting ear infections so here's to hoping that's the case with Grayson.

9 month & First Haircut!

Grayson turned 9 months a little over a week ago. I took him to the doctor this past Wednesday for the well check. He was 22lb, which puts him between the 50% & 75% weight on the growth charts. He was 30 inches tall, that puts in a little above the 95% for height. He is tall, I just hope he keeps that height. Grayson is otherwise growing just fine, everything is healthy and good : ) Doctor checked his ears to see how the ear infection from the previous week looked...he indicated they looked great!

I will post a few pictures from Grayson's first haircut!! I went to get my hair done and the we all agreed that he needed a little trim around the ears and back. He did so good!! : ) It kinda made me sad, yes I know I am a sap but oh man he is getting so big.

Just a little update..We had a wonderful and yet memorable first Thanksgiving together with Grayson. We went to Brady's mom and dad first than over to my grandparents house in the evening. When we left my grandma's Grayson's cheeks seemed very rosy but I just figured it was warm in there, he had a long day and was spent. After getting home around 830ish I gave Grayson a bath and pretty much fed him his last bottle and he went to bed. However, he did not go to bed as good as he usually does, he fought me a little. After finally falling asleep, I kinda thought he was acting a little off. Yup, about 20 minutes later he woke up screaming. The same scream he had 2 1/2 weeks ago when he had the ear infection. I just knew, he we were in it again, my poor little man was in a lot of pain. You can just tell it hurts so bad. I just couldn't put him through another night of pain. So...we drove to Red Wing and went into Urgent Care. Yup..just as I had thought, DOUBLE ear infection!!! Ahh..man. Soo thank goodness we went in they were able to get him started on the antibiotic right away and also provided us with some ear drops that help with the pain (they numbed his ear) So, one thing is for sure we will never forget our little mans first Thanksgiving, because we spent 3 hours of it in the ER.
He is slowly getting better, it has been a pretty quiet weekend around here. A lot of sleeping and resting.

We did go get our tree yesterday, Grayson seemed to be pretty intrigued with what was going on.

Halloween and First Snow Fall

Grayson's first Halloween was a success. He seemed to enjoy it as much as an 8 month old could. He dressed as an elephant and did not seem to mind being in the costume. We did the parade in Cannon Falls on the Friday before; Grayson just hung out in his stroller and enjoyed watching all the kids in costumes run around.

Today we had our first snow fall. Boy did we get some snow. I have to say I do love the fist few snow falls, but after that I am usually ready for it to be spring. : ) We decided to go to Perkins this morning for breakfast but before we went we had to get Grayson all bundled up in some snow gear and take a couple picture of him in his first snow fall. OHH, all the firsts. However, I believe the last snow falls was Feb 23 and that was the day we brought him home from the hospital so I guess this isn't technically his first snow fall. Anyway, here are some picture of Halloween and him in the snow today ! He has his nine month check up on the 23rd, so I will have to post his growth.

Ohh, I guess we had another, not so fun, first this past week. Grayson had his first ear infection..ohh my goodness was that not fun for mom, dad and Grayson : ( He cried for 7 hours Monday night, it was the most horrible night of my life. I felt so bad for him. He is on amoxicillin and doing much much better.

Here are just some random pictures we have taken lately of Grayson. Nothing to much new to report. We still have NO teeth..lol. I was told from a lady at work that her son did not get his first tooth till he was 16 months!! Can you believe that...even being in the dental field that amazed me. Well I guess there is still hope for my little guy. As well as no teeth we are still not crawling yet. I thought for sure by now he would have been. If he were me he would be just about walking, I believe I was walking around 10 months. However, his father did not walk until he was 14 months, I have a feeling he might be taking after his dad. He is just very content sitting on the floor with his toys. He does not seem to feel the need to move yet. As a first time mom, I find myself always worrying that he is doing everything right and on time, but I have to remind myself that he will do it all on his own time. In the mean time we are having a blast as usually with him. He seems to get more of his own personality every day. He babbles constantly...maybe that's what he will gets from his mom : ) I have some more picture from the pumpkin patch that I need to get on here but they are on my old camera so I will have to do that. Stay tuned for those AND Halloween picture next week, his costume is adorable : )

Pumkin Patch & Apple Orchard

Brady, Grayson and I went to Apple Junction in Hastings on Sat. We had such a great time. : ) It was a hot day, which is something you don't normally say around pumpkin/apple picking time. This apple orchard was very nice, so many things for kids to do. We said we will definitely be bringing Grayson back when he is older and able to run around. There was play area, petting zoo, pumpkin patches, hayrides, apple picking and yummy apple food. We got three pumpkins, one for each of us and the next thing will be to carve them in a couple weeks : ) We also got some very very yummy juicy apples. The day was a success. I tried to post a couple weeks ago and it wouldn't let me download any pictures. It has been way to long since I have last posted anything. So here it goes..

Grayson turned 6 months on 8/19. I can't believe my little man is 6 months. Time has just flown by. I told Brady the other day to imagine the next 6 months to going as fast as the last 6 months he is going to be a year in no time. WOW...people were not kidding when they tell you they grow fast.

Grayson had his six month check this past Wednesday. He did great. Doctor said he is growing GREAT! He weighed 19.2lb and was 28 inches long. He fell between the 50% and 75%
for weight. Although, he went up in percentile for weight his length shot up. 29 inches falls a little over the 95%. The nurse said as she was measuring him, "holy cow he is long." I hope that stay with him as he grows because we all Brady and I are not tall at all. He did fine with his shots..cried for about a minute then after when I got to pick him up, of course, he flashed a HUGE smile. I swear this kid doesn't ever stop smiling. : )

Grayson is sitting very well. He very rarely falls over anymore, maybe when he gets to excited and can't seem to catch himself as he rocks back and forth. He has rolled over about a maybe 8-10 times. :) Just not to ambitious about rolling non-stop yet.

He has had a VERY busy summer. It seems like we have just gone none stop this summer. Lots of weddings, house warming parties, birthday parties, engagement parties and all sorts of stuff in between. Things are finally slowing down and we are looking forward to hopefully a semi-quiet fall.

I started school this past week. Very excited about getting back in and getting done. It will hopefully only take me 2 years. I am a little scared that I might be taking on to much; baby, husband, house, work and maybe still find a little time for myself. Ha ha. Brady is also taking a course at the U of M starting after Labor day weekend. He is excited too. I think this alone will keep us busy this fall/winter. We are hoping our weekends will be nice and quiet.

Summer Fun!

I just thought I would post a few fun pictures of Grayson hanging out this summer. I take so many that I need to get them on here sooner so I don't have 50 to post all at once...haha. One thing we have discovered this summer is Grayson REALLY loves water. Whether he is taking a bath or sitting in a floaty at the pool or in the lake, he seems to be very happy. The water seems to fascinate him.

Grayson and I came up north this weekend to spend some very nice time with my mom and dad and we went in the lake today and yesterday. He just thought it was the greatest thing. He was laughing and smiling!! It was sooo cute and funny!

Over the fourth of July weekend we stay around Hastings and Cannon Falls. We took Grayson to the pool and man did think that was pretty cool. He just watched all the kids swimming and splashing around. We also went to the fair, the parade and got to catch some fireworks. We was sleeping when we got to where we were watching the parade and as the parade started they honked the BIG firetrucks horns and sounded the sirens. OHHHH myyyy...did we NOT like that. He just screamed and screamed. Scared him right out of his nice nap. However after I got him calmed down he sat on my lap and was amazed with all that was going on. He watched the ENTIRE parade. We had a very nice Fourth just hanging out with each other.

4 months

Well it looks like I am on the pace of updating this once a month. Seems a little harder to get time to myself to get on here long enough to post an update.

Well Grayson is 4 months. What has happened in the last month...babbling constantly, smiling ALL the time, sucking on hands and fingers and the newest thing we have learned is to spit/blow bubbles. Although probably not the best habit is it rather funny. He LOVES is saucer/activity thing. He loves to bounce around in it while just babbling away. He is even starting to flick the ball to make it move and grabbing at other objects on it as well. He can roll from his belly to his back but not the other way yet. It is so cool watching him learn new things daily.

His 4 month check was last Wednesday and everything went good. Weighed 15.12 lb(50%), 16.5in head (25%) and length was 26 inches (75%). So overall pretty average but a little long. Maybe he will be tall? As long as he gets taller than his mom he will be doing good! We started cereal on Wednesday night after the doctor said you start giving cereal at 4 months. The first night we put it in his bottle but since than have tried just spoon feeding it. It is quit the activity. I am trying to figure out how to post videos from my camcorder, so once I figure that out I will post that. When you do see remember I said he just learned to spit so oh yes we spit our cereal out EVERYTHING. HAHA

3 months & Baptism

Grayson will be 3 months on Wednesday. It is so hard to believe that that much time has already past. He has grown so much in the last month. Holding his head up SO good, he rolled from his belly to his back, talking (cooing and caaing) a lot more everyday and man does this kid SMILE!! Smile, smile, smile. It is the greatest. He is laughing more and more everyday too. I think I could go on and on but I don't think I have enough time. I guess I understand now how parents can sometime seem like they brag about their children. I am already constantly talking him up.

Yesterday we had Grayson's baptism. Kelly & Rich were the godparents. Grayson did GREAT during the service, didn't make a peek. I think I was more worried about him puking while we were up there than anything, but we were good there too. Yes, he is still puking a lot. Some days I think it is better but then the next he will be puking a lot so I think it is just gonna take time.
I will post some pics from the baptism.

I have been trying to take lot of pics over the past few weeks. Following this update I will just post some misc pics of our little guy.

Overall Grayson is doing very well. Still sleeping through the night, gotta LOVE that. I have been told my many people that he is a very well natured baby. I don't know any different but I guess I am lucky.

2 Months Old!!

Grayson was 2 months old this past Monday. I can't believe 2 months have already past. I have a feeling he will be a year old before we know it. Well, he has started to do lots of different things in the past few weeks.

He started smiling at 4 weeks old, smiling that is without it being gas...haha He is now able to look at us and flash us a huge smile!! It makes everything sooo worth it. He does really well at holding his head up, still a little wobbly at times but pretty darn good I think. He LOVES sucking on his RIGHT hand. I am not sure if he realizes he is sucking on his own hand, guessing probably not. He sure does like sucking on it once he gets it to his mouth. It always seems to be his right hand too, we try and put his left in there and he won't really suck on it as well. The biggest accomplishment I would have to say is my little man has been sleeping through the night!!!! He started doing it about a week ago, I am trying to not get to excited because I am sure it could change. It has been so nice though, he seems to go to bed between 8-10 and sleeps till anywhere between 4 & 6. Grayson has definetly become more of a baby in the last few weeks vs being "so infanty" (I know that is not a word). He follows you, smiles and is even getting his voice. He is cooing and caaing, it is all VERY cool!!

He had his 2 month check on Wednesday. He weighed 12lb 2oz, which puts him at the 50% for weight. He measured 23inches, which also puts him at the 50% for height. His head measured 15 inches, that puts him at the 25% for head size. All in all he is growing very well. He checked out great with the doctor, everything seems perfect so far. We did discuss the puking and as long as he is gaining weight which he is there is, there not much we can do. He is however on Zantec to possibly help with the constant refulx but he has been on it for about 2 weeks now and I can say I have not noticed a HUGE difference. They did take an ultrasound and x-ray two weeks ago to rule out Pyloric Stynosis (I think that is how it spell it). He does not have that so we know he is pretty much just a very puky baby.

I did go back to work two weeks ago. It was hard but I would have to say it was kinda bitter sweet. Nice to get back into a routiune and working BUT sad that I'm not with my little man all day! I'm just working three to three in a half days right now. Having one-two days off is really nice. I feel like I'm not missing out to bad. He seems to be doing really well with Grandma Kelly. I think it helps me knowing he is safe and being well taken care of.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!! Well our vacation is winding down...we have 2 full days left.
We could not have asked for better weather and a better time together.

Today we went to church and to brunch downtown Fort Myers. It was a very nice way to spend Easter this year.

Not much else to update, this trip has been very mellow. We did go to the Mucky Duck, a really cool restaurant on Captiva Island. I have been going there since I was a baby, so I wanted to bring Brady and Grayson. It was a a beautiful day! This restaurant is on the beach so we got some pictures of Grayson in the sand (pictures to follow this post). Other than that we have pretty much lay by the pool and relaxed!!

Couple things about my liitle guy. He is 6 weeks now. Last night we had a couple huge moments, first moment was that he slept 7 1/2 hours!!!! How awesome for Brady and I. I'm not counting on it happening tonight again, thinking maybe just a fluke. LOL! We will see. Other big moment...he smiled at me. His first non-gas smile. He actually smiled and giggled. It makes everything worth it. It was the coolest moment ever.

On another note, we have noticed that Grayson's puking has increased. Whether it is from me not nursing any longer or if he really has an issue. I quit nursing about a week ago because I was only producing 1 1/2 oz over a 6 hour period....and that was only from the one side that worked. The other side dried up 2 weeks ago. Oh well, it is frustrating because you want everything to work right, but, it is what it is. Maybe things will be different the next child....in year what!!!!!!!!?????? ANYWAY, we have a DR. appt when we get home and we'll see what he says.

Well our vacation is going great! We have had wonderful weather so far. We have bascially been hanging out at mom and dad's just soaking up the sun and enjoying our time to JUST RELAX!! I have been trying to take lots of pictures. Trying to document Grayson's first vacation as best I can. To follow are just some radom pictures of Grayson, Brady and I down here in Florida.

We went to a Twins game today. It was prefect weather! Grayson slept through the whole game, so we got to fully enjoy ourselves. However...I am VERY upset with myself. I think I asked Brady 300 hundred times to make sure we had the camera because I wanted to take lots of pictures. Well, he did his part and remembered to bring it, but when we got there and went to take our first pic of the outside of the field the BATTERY WAS DEAD!!! Ohh was I mad at myself. So, all I have to document of that little outing was a couple pics of us with Grayson in our Twins gear.

My Little Dude in a Swimsuit

Today we put on the swimsuit I bought for Grayson to try it out. I thought I would share with you some pictures of that. It's a little big, but boy was it cute!!! We put him in the pool this afternoon, he seemed to like it again. I will have to record him next time with my camera and put a little blimp on here. We recorded it but it was with our camcorder and I am unable to download that onto here.

Little Post from Florida!

So we arrived in Florida Wednesday night. Grayson did AWESOME on the plane! He ate before we left our house for the airport and slept for the couple hours we were at the airport. So when we boarded the plane he was HUNGARY...which was perfect. He sucked down a bottle and passed out! He slept the whole time, I was so relieved. Not to mention he slept that night from 1-6am, the longest stretch he has ever done. It was really nice for Brady and I after a long day of traveling.

So far the weather has been beautiful. 80's both days and today looks like it will be hot too! We put Grasyson in the pool the other day, he seemed to love it. This kid likes water, he loves baths and now I have learned he loves the pool. Here is a picture of Grayson with his hat...I just had to share it.

4 Weeks Old!!

I thought I would do a quick post here before we leave. We take off tonight for Florida. Grayson very first vacation. I am very nervous for the plane ride. I just pray his ears don't bother him and he sleeps the WHOLE time!!

Grayson was 4 weeks on Friday. I can't be live he is already a month old. It seems like I waited and waited for his arrival and now I can just tell time is going to fly! He got weighed last Monday, he topped the scale at 10lb 4oz. So he has now gained a little of 1 lb since broth. It think we have finally started to gain weight..YEA! We were struggling there for a little bit to get him to gain consistently but we figured out that I was not producing enough for him. As much as I wanted nursing to go well my child needs to eat so, we are having to supplement formula so he gets full. I am currently still nursing but I am not to sure how long I will continue due to the fact that I am producing about half of what he needs, if that sometimes. We will see when we get back how things are going.

He has his 2 month check on April 21st, I will for sure give an update than

I hopefully will give an update while we are in Florida with some pics of Grayson. We will be gone for 15 days...I can't tell you how excited Brady and I are to be able to do this...we need it!

2 Week Check

Grayson had his two week check on Wednesday. It went good. Doctor said he looked very healthy and everything checked out good. He did not however gain any more weight, he is still at 8lb 13oz. He has not yet gone back up to his birth weight. Doctor said he was not concerned and asked us to come back on Monday to get weighed again. So we will see tomorrow if he is back up to at least 9lb 1oz.
Everything else is going good. We are very lucky, he is a good baby. Not very fussy at all, pretty chill most the time.
Last week was a little sad for me, my mom went back to Florida. But, I guess I will be seeing her very soon here. We leave to vacation down there in two weeks...we CAN'T wait. Before she left we got some pics together, I will post those below.
Kelly came over last weeks too and took some pics, as always they turned out very cool, THANKS KEL!! I will post a few of them below as well.
Besides those few things we have just been hanging out, getting used to the fact that we are parents. I have to admit it is kinda weird...haha However we are finding that we absolutely love it! : )

Grayson John Malloy

Well it's a BOY!! He arrived on February 19 at 11:19pm. He weighed 9lb 1oz, 21 1/2 inches long. What a big boy, Brady actually was 9lb 1oz and was 22 inches long, so Grayson was almost exactly what his daddy was.

Here is a quick story of how Grayson arrived. I started having contractions at 1:00am on Friday (19th) morning. They started at 2 minutes apart right away. I labored at home until 3:30am. We arrived at the hospital at 4am. Contractions were 2 minutes and I was dilated to 1cm. My water started to leak after about 2 hours of being there. At about 10:30 I progressed to 4cm. At this point I the contractions were pretty intense, so I opted for an epidural. They broke my water at 2:30. This did nothing to make me dilate any further. They administered pitocin at 4:15pm to see if that would help dilate more, but it also did nothing. At about 8pm my epidural wore off because I had stopped pushing the self-medicating bolus thinking I was getting sick from it. At this point they started to talk c-section, and that was about 10:30 pm. At 11:00pm they checked me and I was still at 4cm. We were done. They prepped me for a c-section, Brady donned the surgical garb and we were off. Grayson was born at 11:21pm and the reason he couldn't come into this world the vaginal way was because his head was cocked to the left and stuck. Maybe due to his size and the fact that there just wasn't enough room in there for him to right his self, caused the c-section. I got up into the room about 11:45pm and got to meet my son.

We have been home for 5 days now. Grayson is a very mellow baby and hardly cries or fusses. I feel very fortunate. My milk is slow to come but they insist that is because they loaded me with tons of fluid for the section and before the milk comes in they say I have to loose this fluid. (Mind you I already had a fluid issue before they even talked c-section.) It is a little better every day, but my legs and feet are still abnormally large. Grayson had a little bit of jaundice so we have had to feed him every 2 hours to get rid of it. Today we went to the hospital and his numbers were good and that is gone. Now I don't have to wake him up at night ...or day....to feed every 2 hours. He can eat when he is hungry. Too bad I still have to pump every 2 hours to keep the milk coming...but I think he might sleep a lot more tonight. We will let you know.

40 WEEKS!!!!!

Well here we are 40 weeks!! I was hoping I wouldn't see this week but I suppose most women do. I went to the doctor today and it was the best visit I have had so far. So if you remember I was 50% effaced last Friday, at a station -1 and dilated to a 1. Well...today (not even a week later) I am 80% effaced, at a station +1 and still dilated to a 1. I could not believe that!! Talk about making some progress in less than a week. She said she was surprised I have not been having contrations. I am however expierencing A LOT of cramps, she that is a very good sign. She also said she would not be surprised to see me at the hospital with int he next couple days or at least by this weekend. YEA!! However, if nothing happens by this weekend, we go in on Monday morning at 9am to get checked again and start the induction process.
Other than that nothing else much new. Mom is coming home tomorrow, her plane gets in around 3:30. I am so excited to see her and have her here for all of this. Wish dad was coming home too but we will be seeing him in just a few shorts weeks!! We can't wait to get down to FL with our new little family and have a nice little vacation!!
Here are the final belly shots, 40 weeks. Wow, it sure if crazy looking at your belly stretched out that much. Kinda scary to think how it will ever look "normal" again. I also thought I would post the first belly shots taken, 13 weeks. Time sure did fly!!

39 Weeks

Alright here we are 39 weeks!! Only 4 days till I reach the 40 week mark. Let me tell you I am SOOOO READY to be done with this. I am sure most all women would say once they reach this point you are very much so ready to be done. I am officially completely uncomfortable, can't sleep and as of last weeks check the doctor doesn't want me working.
When I went to my 38 week check everything looked good I was 25% effaced, dilated to 1 cm and at a station -1. The doctor also noted that my swelling looked to be a little worse and he asked if at night the swelling goes down after raising my legs, I informed him it wasn't seeming to go down like it use to. He than proceeded to tell me that he did not want me working AT ALL anymore. I was, to say the least, very upset with this news. At 38 weeks pregnant that was the last thing I expected to hear. I just figured, crap I have gotten this far you would think if that baby came now it would be okay. He said the reason for him doing this was because it wasn't good for my health or the baby's to be on my feet for 10 hours a day with the swelling I was having. My blood pressure on the other hand is good. Instead of it getting higher it seems to drop every week. At 38 weeks it was 96/60. Soo...nothing to worry about there, which is good. However as I said I was not happy to be told I couldn't work, what was I going to do with myself?? So after talking with my boss and talking with the doctor again I got him to agree to let me work half days. I am to be at a desk sitting doing office work instead of standing and doing clinical work.
Soo...the last week has gone pretty slow. Not working like I usually do seems to make my days go slower. But I guess I am getting a lot done around the house, which is nice.
Today I had my 39 weeks check. I am now 50% effaced, still dilated to a 1cm and at a station -1. So somethings happening I guess...just slowly. I go back on Wednesday and at that time they will check me again and decided if I should come in on the 22nd or the 23rd to get induced. As of right now I am scheduled to be induce on the 23rd at 7am. This is however only taking place if this little guy/girl doesn't come by than. So here is to hoping I am NOT still pregnant on the 23rd!!

37 Weeks

Well here we are...37 weeks!! Can you believe it? After this weekend we have TWO weeks left. WOW! I guess I can say time did fly by. Even though I had my moments of thinking this was never going to end and that I was going to be pregnant forever, I look back now and think it went pretty fast!!

Since I last posted I had my 36 week check. At that appointment I got checked, got my blood drawn and had a test done for Group B Strep. I was not dilated at 36 weeks, however the doctor said baby Malloy's head is very low. In other words we don't have to worry about he/she flipping on us. My hemoglobin level was 14.5 and normal is between 11-16, so we are right on. As for the Group B Strep test I tested negative, which is good. At my appointment this week I opted to not get checked. I figured if I'm not in labor how much of a difference does getting checked every week matter. The doctor did ask if I feel any more "pressure down there" and to be honest not necessarily "pressure" as much as I feel it is more heavy down there or weighted down. Other than that my 37 week check went great, baby's heart rate was 135 lowest it's been I think at 36 weeks it was 144.

Other than that everything is going good. Brady and I have decided we are absolutely ready to meet our newest addition to our family!! We are getting very excited! I think we have most everything ready, or I guess as ready as we can be for him/her to arrive.

34 Weeks

Well, I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am a little over 34 weeks and CAN'T believe it! We are SO excited that VERY soon little baby Malloy will be here. Well...lets see what has happened since I last posted?

Our holidays were wonderful! Mom and dad came home December 18th for Christmas so it was REALLY REALLY nice to see them and spend time together.

As for my doctors appointments, they have been going fine. Baby is measuring right on, heart rate great and let me tell you this baby is very active. However, my last appt. was not as great as the ones before it. I know I have mentioned in previous posts how much swelling I have had, well it has gotten worse and at my last appt. the doctor put me on a slight work restriction. She does not want me working ANY more then 30-32, so...I got my hours cut to 27 per week. With the way our schedules are at work and when we see patients that was what work could do for me. I was working 36-38 so as you can imagine not exactly what I wanted to hear. When you are trying to save money for maternity leave and then are told you have to work less it makes things a little stressful. But I guess what do you do? The doctor said that as of right now the baby is fine BUT she wants to keep it that way. With the amount of swelling I have and seeing as how I stand for 10 hours a day at work she thought maybe reducing my hours it might help a little. Nothing wrong with being careful I guess. One thing I will say is that swelling is PAINFUL! I go back next Wednesday so we will see what they say, I am just hoping that they won't restrict me anymore. I will say one thing I WON'T miss all this water weight, I am pretty "squishy" HA HA! I'll keep you updated on what the doctors say.

We have been talking a lot lately about what we think this baby is. We each have our own prediction. Brady is convinced it's a girl and I am leaning towards boy. However, ALL my dreams about the baby have been that it is a girl. Soo..I guess only time will tell.

A couple weeks ago Kelly took some picture of Mindi and I and our belly's. It was a lot of fun and the pictures turned out great! Thanks Kel!!!
One things is for sure I looked VERY round!! LOL
But us girls did noticed how DIFFERENT our two belly's look. It crazy how different every women's belly looks. Following will be a few pictures from the "photo op"

I also have attached a couple pics of my BIG belly at 34 weeks and a couple shots of the baby's room. It is nothing special and not really decorated all that much but it will do until the baby gets here. I figure I will decorate more once he/she is here.

27 Weeks and Baby Shower

Alright so it has been a few weeks again. I was waiting until I could get my shower picture on here as well as my 27 week belly shot. I also had a doctors appointment last Thursday so I thought I would put what happened there on here too.

So I will start with the doctors appointment. I had my 26 week check up and I had to drink the "juice" to check for gestational diabetes. Good new, came back with a clean bill. So we don't have to worry about that. However I would have to say the appointment did not go all that perfect. About 4 weeks ago I noticed my legs and hands were starting to swell. I had to take my wedding ring off at 20 weeks. At the time I did not think much about it because being a rookie at this whole pregnancy thing I just figured it was part of the deal. Well, I mentioned it to the doctor on Thursday that my legs were swollen and when I push my skin in, it stayed in. I also told her that both my legs and hands hurt by the end of the day. She took a look at my legs and did not seem to happy with what she saw. She informed me that it was to early to be swelling like this and when I told her it started 4 weeks ago she said "what??" So, overall she informed me about Preeclampsia and that it looks like I am heading in the direction of dealing with it. What do I do? Well, slow down for one, not to be go go go all day and all night. Which is really tough for a busy body like me. LOL! I have to change the type of socks I wear...SEXY! And from there they are going to monitor me VERY closely. I now go to the doctor every 2 weeks but if things get worse in between those 2 weeks I am to go into the doctor prior to my appointments. Other than that, if it gets worse I guess they make me cut back my hours and even then if it doesn't get "stabilized" then they put me on bed rest. The only way to get rid of Preeclampsia is to take the baby!! Let me tell you...that SCARES ME! But, I guess all I can do is listen to the doctor and take it day by day. Good news- my blood pressure isn't bad! Enough about that, on to more exciting things.

I had my girlfriends baby shower on Sunday. It was awesome!! Bobbi and Alicia threw it and they did an AMAZING job! Thanks girls!! I couldn't have asked for a better time with all the gals. I got awesome, wonderful gifts! We played fun games and had GREAT food!! What more can a pregnant chic ask for. : ) Thanks for everyone that came! Following are some picture from the shower.

22 Week Ultrasound

I thought I would update quick and post pics from the ultrasound we had today.
Baby Malloy measured at 22 weeks and 6 days, I am technically 22 weeks and 3days. So I believe she said baby was at 51%. Which I am told is right where they want them at this point.
The ultrasound itself took longer than normal, baby was being difficult. Ha, imagine that as Brady put it, "difficult just like he/she's mom." The ultrasound tech said it was the second hardest ultrasound she has had in a LONG time. The hardest one was right before us, poor lady I bet it makes it for a hard day when the babies don't cooperate..lol! The baby was positioned downward and was moving like crazy. Made it really difficult for her to get measurements and a profile pic. She had me moving from my right side to my back, then over to my left side and back again. I think she was hoping it would help the baby move to where she wanted he/she.
As you can tell I keep typing he or she, YUP we did NOT find out the sex. I asked the tech about 2 minutes into the ultrasound if she knew yet what it was and she said, "oh yea." OHH my goodness did I almost ask her to tell us. It was sooo tempting.
Heartbeat this week was 155, up from last month at 150. Both doctor and ultrasound tech said baby was VERY active.
All in all they said baby was measuring normal and all seemed to be healthy. YEA!!

20 Weeks

Alright, so it has been a while since I last posted. I knew I was not going to be very good at keeping this updated. Although, here I am updating you on what has happened in the last 7 weeks.

All in all I have been feeling GREAT! I really can not complain, this pregnancy has been going good so far. I am, however not really enjoying HOW much your body changes and HOW much your emotions change.

As for appointments with the doctor, we heard the baby's heart beat again on Sept 18th. Words just can't describe how AMAZING that sound is. This last time while we were listening the doctor said, "wow, can you hear that, your baby is moving around like a lot!" YEA..I could HEAR it but NOPE I could NOT feel it. I told the doctor that I still had not felt anything and he assured me not to worry because it all depends on how your uterus is placed and how the baby is postioned. That made me feel better because I was starting to think I was a bad mom and could not feel my baby.
BUT...I do have a little excitment that has happened the last two mornings..I THINK I have felt some little sort of movements. Yesterday morning and this morning while laying in bed I have felt these like faint feeling of something, it's hard to explain. I guess we will see if I feel more definte movements soon.

October 16th is our ultrasound. We could not be MORE EXCITED!!! Although, sorry to report but we are NOT finding out the sex. We have decided to wait until the BIG DAY! We are, however VERY excited to see the baby!!

In other news we started working on the baby's room. And, what a mess our upstairs is now. Just when we got everything the way we wanted it, here we are again moving everything around for little baby Malloy. We got the a crib set from my mom, it was my brother's and mine. It came with two dressers and a crib. Very nice set in great conditions. So, last weekend Brady and his dad put it together and so far it is the crib and two dressers in the baby's room. Yup..that is as far as we have gotten. Hopefully soon things will start coming more and more together and I will have to get a picture of the room on here.

Well, I knew I would be bad at keeping this updated and here it is over a month since I have posted anything. Sorry, but I have not had an new pics until last weekend and I guess I did not have much to say. I had plan to put pictures up today but Kelly has them on her camera and the CD she gave me with them on it does not work. So...I am here to just update you for the time being on how things have been going.

Overall, I really can't complain. I am still SUPER tired! I would say that is the most frustrating part to me because I feel like I'm not get anything done around my house. By the time I get home from work I am so beat that all I want to do is SLEEP! : ) My nausea has gotten better in the last month, although I still have my days that are rough. Heart burn has been pretty bad, I have never had it before I got pregnant and MAN do I feel bad for those that get it regularly.

We did get to hear the heart beat on Friday. WOW, that was the coolest thing EVER! Brady and I agreed it was the coolest 2 minutes of out life. It made it MUCH more real to me, and I think for him too. It really reminds you, YES there is a baby in there.

Well, I hope to have picture up within the next few days, once I figure out how to get pictures from Kelly's camera to my computer. The belly pictures were taken at girls weekend on Aug. 9th, so I was just about 13 weeks then. I am just about 14 weeks today so hopefully I can get them posted before I am taking new belly pics. :)

Another Ultrasound...

So we had another ultrasound on Monday. It was pretty amazing! We could not believe how much baby Malloy has grown. We could see a head, a shape of a body and little buds for arms and legs. Although we would have to say the coolest part was seeing the baby move. He/she "squirmed" it's lower body. We were in shocked to see this little thing move. They were able to measure the baby this time, and the predicated a new due date, Feb. 16th. Which is actually Vienna's (our niece) birthday. Although I am sure the likelihood of us having the baby ON the 16th are slim. So that would make me actually 8 weeks today. Following are the picture they gave us from the ultrasound. Kinda cool to see how much it has grown already.

Quick note on how the pregnancy itself has been going....overall things have been going pretty good for me. I would have to say the worst is just how tired I am all the time. I do have my moments of feeling nauseous, but it's not really in the morning or at night specifically, it's more on and off all day. Although, I am not throwing up, which is great! My sense of smell is UNBELIEVABLE, I am smelling things I never smelt before. I have notice are definitely smells now that make me feel icky, guess you could say I have a sensitive stomach. Well, that is about it. Hope you enjoy the pics. :)

And baby makes three...

Well Brady and I just bought our first home together and moved in this spring. We could not have been more excited. It is a beautiful home and a wonderful location. After we got settled in we decided we needed to fill our home with a family. After months of trying we were finally were given the news that we are expecting. After confirming it with the doctor, per Brady's request, it was suggested by the doctor to have a early ultrasound to find out the due date. We could not be more happy! I think I have had to pull Brady off the ceiling a few times already. We can't wait to start this exciting journey together.

After our ultrasound on Tuesday they were unable to measure the baby just yet, but they are assuming I am just about 6 weeks along, which would make me due around Febuary 20th. The doctor does want me to return to have another ultrasound done on July 6th to measure the fetal pole. I guess that is what they call the beginnings of a baby. That way the know exactly when my due date is.

Following is the VERY first picture ever taken of Baby Malloy. There really isn't much there, but it is pretty special to us as first time parents.
